Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Trust the Signal collects, why, the legal basis we rely on, who we share it with, and the rights available to you under the GDPR and equivalent data protection laws.

Who controls your data

Trust the Signal is operated by BMBWeb3 Global FZCO (“we”, “us”), registered at IFZA Business Park, Building A1, Dubai Silicon Oasis, P.O. Box 342001, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@silviamogas.com.

What data we collect

We only collect data you choose to give us, plus limited technical data if you consent to analytics cookies:

• Newsletter subscribers — your email address and your consent choices (agreeing to receive the newsletter, and optionally agreeing to be contacted by group companies).
• Guest applications — name, title, firm, email, LinkedIn URL, proposed topic, and the message you submit through the “Be a Guest” form.
• Direct enquiries — anything you send us by email, including your address and message content.
• Analytics data — only if you accept the cookie banner: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser type, and referral source, collected via Google Analytics.

We do not collect payment details, government ID, or special-category data (e.g. health, biometric, or political data), and we do not sell personal data.

Why we process it, and our legal basis

• Sending the newsletter — based on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given via the checkbox at signup. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Reviewing guest applications and responding to enquiries — based on our legitimate interest in operating the podcast/editorial platform and communicating with people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f)), balanced against your rights.
• Analytics cookies — based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), collected only after you accept the cookie banner. Declining does not affect your access to the site.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the site, each acting as a data processor on our instructions:

• Resend — delivers newsletter emails and stores subscriber email addresses.
• Vercel — hosts the website and processes standard server logs.
• Google Analytics — processes anonymized/aggregated usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Group companies — if you separately opt in via the sharing consent checkbox, your email may be shared with other companies in the Trust the Signal / BMBWeb3 group for related communications.

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers (including Resend and Google) process data outside the European Economic Area, principally in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards recognized under GDPR Chapter V — such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's own adequacy certifications — to protect your data.

How long we keep your data

• Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Guest applications and direct enquiries are kept only as long as needed to evaluate and respond to them, and are deleted or anonymized thereafter unless a legal reason requires longer retention.
• Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Your rights under GDPR

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site, and analytics cookies only if you accept them via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site, which will show the banner again.

Children's privacy

Trust the Signal is a capital markets and Web3 editorial platform not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The version posted on this page is always the current one.
